1.1 Health and Fitness Data

MyRunCoach collects and processes health and fitness data to provide personalized training plans. This includes:

• Running distance, pace, duration, date, and activity type
• Active energy from Apple Health, when available
• Training preferences and fitness goals
• Workout completion and performance metrics

1.2 Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect:

• Name and email address
• Training goals and profile preferences

The plan questionnaire may also ask for age, gender, and measurements. These responses are used during onboarding and are not saved as profile fields in our cloud backend.

1.3 Service Diagnostics

The app does not currently use product analytics or an automated third-party crash-reporting service. We may retain limited authentication error logs needed to diagnose failed sign-in attempts.

1.4 Strava Integration

If you connect Strava, we access your activity data through the Strava API with your authorization. This includes run distance, time, pace, and date. We use this data solely to match activities against your training plan.

We do not access private health details beyond your authorized activities, and we do not sell or share Strava activity data with third parties. Disconnecting Strava in the app revokes our access and deletes the stored authorization tokens. Deleting your MyRunCoach account does the same.

Your use of Strava is also governed by Strava's Terms of Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve our running coaching services:

• Personalized Training Plans: Create custom workout schedules based on your fitness level and goals
• Progress Tracking: Show completed workouts, weekly mileage, streaks, and training history
• App Functionality: Provide core features like workout logging
• Diagnostics: Investigate authentication and service errors
• Customer Support: Respond to your inquiries and provide technical assistance

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

3.1 Limited Third-Party Sharing

We may share your data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: Cloud hosting and subscription-management services that help us operate the app
• Fitness Integrations: With your explicit consent, we may integrate with Apple HealthKit, Health Connect, Strava, or other fitness platforms
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our legal rights

3.2 No Sale of Personal Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, including health data, to any third parties for any purpose.

3.3 Third-Party Services

We use service providers only where needed to host, maintain, and diagnose the app. They process data on our behalf under their applicable service and data-protection agreements.

4. Data Security and Storage

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data:

• Encryption of data in transit and at rest
• Secure cloud storage with reputable providers
• Software and dependency security updates
• Limited access to personal data on a need-to-know basis

5. Your Rights and Choices

5.1 Data Access and Control

You have the right to:

• Request access to personal data associated with your account
• Correct or update your information
• Export a JSON copy of your profile, training plans, and account statistics
• Delete your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for data processing

5.2 Location Services

MyRunCoach does not directly record runs with GPS or collect route data. With your permission, the app may use your location to provide a local weather forecast. Runs can be imported from Apple Health, Health Connect, or Strava, or entered manually.

5.3 Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion:

• Your account and data in our primary systems are deleted immediately
• Stored Strava authorization tokens are deleted and access is revoked
• Residual backup copies expire within 30 days

6. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services:

• Active accounts: Data is retained while your account is active
• Inactive accounts: Data is retained until you delete your account; we may remove accounts after extended inactivity with prior notice
• Deleted accounts: Primary data is deleted immediately; residual backups expire within 30 days
• Legal requirements: Some data may be retained longer if required by law

7. Children's Privacy

MyRunCoach is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

For users between 13-17, parental consent may be required in accordance with applicable laws.

8. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws and include appropriate safeguards.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app or our data practices change. We will post the revised policy and update the date above. Where required, we will also provide notice in the app or by email.
